The MDRC CouchBot

Following in the proud tradition of the RIT MDRC [Multi Disciplinary Robotics Club] creating drive-able couches we decided to make one with this generation of robotics club members.

We started with a loveseat sourced from a friend of a friend’s basement.

The club took a meeting and outfitted the couch with a set of wheel chair motors sourced from an old robot platform. The rear of the couch was supported with a set of large castor wheels from Harbor Freight.
